I've seen you around [livejournal.com profile] dear_mun, and this is some crit on how your Axel responds to Saixes.

First of all, your Axel is, to put it bluntly, incredibly OOC when it comes to dealing with Saix. Axel is himself a manipulator. He knows how much work goes into being a manipulator. He knows that Saix is working damn hard to cover both of their tracks. As an example: Castle Oblivion is canonly Saix's doing. Saix got Axel in there through his connectoins, and made sure to send those that he wanted eliminated--those that were in the way of their plans. Axel would understand this, and would understand that what Saix is doing isn't "useless" and "just standing around looking pretty." What Saix is doing is just as important as Axel doing the dirty work. He doesn't have to agree with it, but because Axel is himself a manipulator to a degree, he would understand that this is not doing nothing.

Axel is also more of the kind to snark. This is different from outright insulting, like you've had him do. Let me put this in clear words: he won't be outright hostile, but instead he'll be more likely to be indirect with everything. He has to be, because he's hiding that he's a traitor and he and Saix have to speak freely without being caught by the higher ups. So instead, they ten to use double meanings and just... Aren't direct at all, especially Axel. He rarely if ever says what he means, dancing around topics as best he can or lying.

Again, Axel doesn't have to agree with Saix, especially depending on canon point. However, that doesn't mean he'll insult Saix to his face so directly or even devalue the work he did to keep their tracks covered while moving their plans forward. Keep in mind: they were once best friends. Even if they lost that friendship.

o7 Thank you! I was actually having trouble with trying to figure out how exactly to go about how Axel would interact with Saix. I did some test runs on my own but I guess they didn't go so well. I'll make sure to keep this in mind for any further interaction that I have and I'll make sure to think about what I post more before I post it from now on!

Just keep in mind that Axel is smooth if anything, and he doesn't normally really let it be seen when something is bothering him. He's guarded, and so he snarks to not open himself up and make himself vulnerable, basically. Try to keep it in the same vein as his actual conversations with Saix in the games, despite canon point, only keep in mind he's raging under the surface. :3
